§ 1 Information on the collection of personal data

1. The controller pursuant to Art. 4 (7) GDPR is FediScience e.V., Bahnhofstrasse 22, 85354 Freising, Germany.
2. Processing of personal data, purpose of processing and storage period

a) Joining the association

The following data is collected and stored when you join our association

• Name
• Country of residence
• Postal address
• Email address

The stored data is used to

• evaluate your eligibility to take on certain functions in the association (country of residence)
• be able to contact you (email address, address)
• set up account on the non-public communication systems of the association (email address, if you request such an account)

The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.
The data will be deleted upon termination of membership.

b) Publication of data on the website

The association does not publish any information about you on its web site.

c) Third part recipients of personal data

1. Hetzner Online GmbH, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (https://www.hetzner.com/legal/privacy-policy)
   • All FediScience services are hosted in data centres in Germany on servers operated by Hetzner.
2. Webling, uSystems GmbH, Klosterstrasse 34, 8406 Winterthur, Schweiz (https://www.webling.eu/datenschutzinfo)
   • We use Webling to manage our membership information and send newsletters and other emails using their services.

§ 2 Your rights

You have the following rights vis-à-vis the controller with regard to your personal data:

1. Right of access
2. Right to rectification or erasure
3. Right to restriction of processing
4. Right to object to processing
5. Right to data portability

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us.
